DIY Brick Wall: How to Create a Stunning Accent Wall in Your Home
Three years ago, we created this beautiful accent wall in the midst of the chaotic renovation of our kitchen. It might look like a lot of work, but it was actually very simple. The goal was to make it look and feel like the brick was always there. It took me a while to write this post, but here it is with all the information you need to get inspired to DIY. Before and After: Dream Kitchen Transformation for My Sister-in-Law
My sister-in-law and her partner began renovating their small kitchen last year. They removed the wall dividing the open concept living area and the kitchen, and took out the tiny island. Although these were major improvements, the kitchen still felt compact and didn’t meet their family's functional needs. So, when she asked me to help redesign and update her kitchen, of course I said yes. It was going to be another challenge with them living two hours away, but I knew it would be worth it for the perfect kitchen makeover.
One weekend Budget Hall Bathroom makeover
This is a small-ish bathroom with mostly builder-grade features, including the typical outdated glass door and glued mirror, not-so-great tile floors that, according to Brissette, were so hard to keep clean, and an outdated vanity and light fixtures. Honestly, it wasn't too bad because it was in good shape, but it was mostly outdated, and we knew that with simple and affordable changes, we could make it so much better.
